2018 Milwaukee summer festival guide

The time of the year we all look forward to is finally here. Summer is here and so is the 2018 Milwaukee summer festival. Since the festival is filled with a lot of great options, it becomes hard to keep track of all the events. The fear of missing out will always keep us on our toes.
To help you navigate through the summer festival, we have created a simple guide highlighting all the great events.
1. Jazz in the Park
Every year, Cathedral Square Park hosts Jazz music concerts on Thursdays from 6 pm to 9 pm. The event starts on May 20th and will run until the 30th of August. This year’s lineup includes Jay Edward Blues Band, The Right Now, Steez and several other well-known performers. Keep an eye on the schedule and make sure you get there by 5 PM for the happy hours.
2. River Rhythms
From June 13th till 29th August, Westown hosts River Rhythms, a free summer concert. The event happens on every Wednesday. This year’s lineup is filled with the fantastic local talents like the Chicken Wire Empire, the Neo funk Charles Walker Band, and others. Be sure to check out the BROTHER concert which is said to be one of the most amazing fusions of vocals and bagpipes ever created.
3. Bristol Renaissance Fair
Just in case you though the festival is only for the music lovers, here is something for the fair aficionados. The Bristol Renaissance Fair runs from 7th July until September 3rd. Get ready to walk in the 16th century Elizabethan England from 10 am till 7 pm. The fair will be open on Saturdays, Sundays and on the Labour Day. You get to enjoy the 16th-century arts, crafts, games, rides and may even see some re-enactments.
4. Bastille Days
If you are a Francophile, you will absolutely love the Bastille Days set to run from 12th to 15th of July at the Cathedral Square Park. It is the 37th year of the country’s most popular French celebration. There will be street performers, French food and obviously, a lot of wine. They are also expecting a street car drive through and a 43-foot link Eiffel Tower replica. Since the festivities are running only on a single weekend, make sure to mark your calendar well in advance.
5. Wild Ones Weekend
Milwaukee is home of the world’s most popular motorcycle, the Harley Davidson. So it is only natural they show up with something exciting for all the bikers out there. Wild Ones Weekend will host a 1940s style motorcycle rally. It is also the tenth year of H-D Museum and 70th year of Harley-Davidson Panhead engine’s arrival. Mark your calendars for July 12 to 14th and get your motorcycle ready for the rumble. This is going to be an epic biker show.
6. Festa Italiana
How can any Milwaukee summer festival guide be complete without mentioning the Festa Italiana? This year the celebration will run from 20th to 22nd July. Get ready to enjoy Jazz music, a parade and a lot of other fun activities.
